Who is Essential Networks Group?
Essential Networks Group Limited is a Wellington based ICT consultancy that specialises in providing end-to-end consultancy services from IS Strategic Planning and Enterprise Architecture through to procurement processes, contract negotiation and implementation. Founded in 2000 by a group of industry professionals with decades of experience working in the ICT industry, our technological expertise is in core infrastructure systems and services.
We have specialist expertise in TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) analysis for IT and telecommunications infrastructure and services. We focus on organisations in Corporate, Public and Not-for-Profit sectors, and operate from a single office in Wellington.
The company operates an associate business model where it collaborates and partners with other reputable professionals and organisations, such as the members of the aKnowledge Alliance, to deliver complete business outcomes for our customers. For implementation projects and programmes of work, we have standardised on the PRINCE2™ and MSPTM methodologies respectively. We only use certified practitioners for implementation work.
Whilst our primary focus is New Zealand organisations, we have undertaken assignments off-shore, primarily for New Zealand domiciled businesses with international operations.

We serve corporate, government and Not-for-Profit organisations on both sides of the Tasman. We have undertaken assignments in Australia (where we have associates) and Singapore, and our experience in New Zealand and Australia allows us to serve customers with trans-Tasman operations particularly well.

The third is more challenging to achieve over the long term and requires the continuing development and refinement of our processes and methodologies.
